Important note: The flight days are no longer public. The first day (5.7.22) with technical inspections is still accessible at Flugwerft Schleißheim.
Unfortunately we did not get the environmental permit to fly over “Flugfeld Schleißheim” due to birds breeding. We had to change venue and try to set up a youtube live stream as a compensation for the non-public flight event.

14/06/2022We published a new Regulations Handbook with some information about your stay in munich. Please have a look at chapters 3.6 and 3.10.
01/05/2022 20:00 UTCAll received reports are confirmed via E-Mail reply. Last confirmations today in approx 30 min. Later incoming reports will be confirmed tomorrow.
E-Mail Timestamp of reception in UTC is binding for in-time delivery.

Received teams until now:
29/04/2022 Small reminder: You do NOT need to send in a paper report. The PDF is enough for us.
20/04/2022Template for the TR front page is online:
22/01/2022Invoices have been sent out for the first payment.
13/03/2021We will start a new application period for ACC2022 (remaining free spots) on Thursday 01.04.2021 00:00 UTC. It ends on Mo 01.11.2021 24:00 UTC or if all available spots are full.
A new application form will come soon as well as new logos.
We only had one cancelation yet, so this means a total of 5 spots.
14/01/2021Unfortunately we have to inform you that we decided to postpone the Air Cargo Challenge to summer of 2022.

This decision may come with no surprise to many of you, but we want to give you some major points that were driving our decision.

1) The German “lock-down” was prolonged and increased lately. We don’t know how the pandemic situation proceeds and how fast vaccines can be distributed far enough to get back to “normal”.
But we have to provide some advance notice for our partners, service providers and also you! This is definitely not possible before summer, perhaps not even until the end of the year.
2) To allow for all teams to participate, we need open borders and vastly reduced quarantine restrictions. This is unclear or even doubtful until July, even within the EU.
3) Every team has to build their aircraft. This means getting together in a workshop. Beside the risk induced, some teams might even be forbidden to get into university labs and therefor suffer a massive drawback.
4) As mentioned in the regulations, safety for all participant is our main goal. At the moment this is simply not feasible with around 300 people in one place.
5) The ACC is just not a good event if we have to keep distance.

How will we go forward?
1. We plan to postpone the competition for one year. -> ACC2022
2. The exact date will be published as soon as we made the arrangements with location, hostel,… (probably within the last week of June or first 2 weeks of July)
3. The technical regulations will not change.
4. Your application stays active. We will ask every team to confirm the participation as soon as the new date is fixed.
5. Of course you can change team members and headcount. Just wait for us to come back to you.
6. There will be new dates for payments, probably all of them one year later.

We hope you understand our decision and stay with us for a great Air Cargo Challenge 2022!

As always: If you have any questions, just contact us. (E-Mail)

Stay safe!

31/10/2020We had a typo in the regulations: The deadline for the application is tomorrow 1.11.2020 24:00. The regulations said 2021, but since this is after the competition it doesn’t make sense. The date was correct on our Download-Page.
22/10/2020If you have trouble getting all documents ready for your application in time, just write us an E-Mail. We will find a solution for that.
30/09/2020You can see a list of the teams that already applied for ACC2021 on a new sub-page.
If any of the participating teams need the logo for the search for sponsors or else, you can find the logo package on the Regulations/Downloads page
09/09/2020Some teams had trouble with selecting the T-Shirt sizes. Don’t worry, just write the sizes in the E-Mail seperately. We will double check with you after registration is over.
28/08/2020We had some trouble with the pdf form, but it is available on the Regulations page now.
25/08/2020Regulations (V1.10) and FAQs are updated. The application form will be uploaded tomorrow.
23/08/2020There will be an FAQ-Section later today.
The application form will be published latest on Wednesday 26.08.2020. You will need the following data:
– teamname
– university
team members (up to 7):
– names
– date of birth
– food preferences: vegan, ovo-lacto vegetarian, allergies
– T-shirt size
– Are you an Euroavia-member?

06/08/2020V01.00 of the regulations is published. We wish you all good luck! If there are any questions feel free to contact us! Regulations ACC 2021
08/2020Publication of the Regulations will be on 06.08.2020 6pm (4pm UTC)
07/2020Publication of the Regulations is planned for the first week of August at the moment.
06/2020A lot of things are done, but there is still a long way to go. We found a great location and we are almost done with the paperwork. Additionally we reserved accomodation for the participants.
Our team is already very excited to host you for the ACC 2021. We hope to meet some old friends and also welcome a lot of new teams! As you know, Munich is not a cheap city. We will keep the participation fee very comparable to the last ACC. And of course we are still looking for more sponsors to lower your cost and make the event better as well!
To get you the possibility to plan ahead we wanted to publish some important dates. Please note that these are still preliminary, but we are confident that there won’t be a lot of changes! (Please don’t book your flights yet 😉 )
First of all the date of the competition:
6. – 9. July 2021
The event will be one day for meeting the other teams, technical inspection and so on. The next three days are planned for flying. Arrival will be on 5.7.2021, Departure on 10.7.2021. Of course all travel through the competition days are included as well as accomodation, meals and so on. (Details will follow with the regulations)We are currently finalizing the regulations and have to prove read and check them once more.
We plan to release the new regulations in July 2020

Applications will most likely start in September 2020

First payments will be in January 2021

Again: please note that  these dates are still subject to change, so please check from time to time.

03/2020At the moment we try to get a location for the competition. We really hope our favorite works out.
So far we get a lot of support, so we are confident to get everything done until mid-summer for the release of the regulations (not before June).
The Corona virus slows us down a little bit, but thanks to web conferencing we are still getting things done.
01/2020the new year started with a very productive round to get started with the regulations. We have a lot of ideas but we want to keep the character of the competition. Most important is for everybody to have fun and learn a lot more than “just” building an aircraft!
12/2019We decided on basic elements for the ACC. At the moment we look for location, accomodation and sponsors to reduce your payments.
The starting flags (red/green) that are traditionally passed to the winning team like a challenge cup, are now in munich.
11/2019Expect regular updates on this site. Details on regulations (when the publishing date will be) and how to participate should be available in December/January here.
10/2019We started organizing the event
